As poet or spectator, join us for a riveting poetry competition!
Poets in performance, speaking their personal, political,
spiritual, and social thoughts. Seating area at the outdoor
dining canopy provides an oasis for spectators to enjoy a cool
drink and watch the Slam unfold.

Who Can Participate
Open to all ages and all styles, forms, and subject matter
sutiable for a family audience. Pre-register by JULY 3 and receive
FREE admission Sunday, July 18.
Entry Requirement and Fees
The poetry must be your own work and peformed without props,
costumes, or music. A three-minute maximum applies. You must
have a Festival admission bracelet. Otherwise, there's no fee.
Judging, Awards, and Prizes
Five judges will be selected from the audience and provided with
scoring guidelines and forms. Prizes and award certificates will be
given out for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in two age
categories: Youth and Adult (18+).
