Meet local artists, try your hand at a potter's wheel, get an inside view of the camera obscura--you'll get a taste of the valley's varied arts afficionados at our art exhibits.

Corvallis Art Guild

  • Watch the process as artists do quick sketches of folks who stop by the booth. You will see artists working in charcoal, pastel or the medium of their choice.

Henna by Rebecca

  • Henna tattoos, also known as  Mehndi, is a form of temporary tattoo. Coming from a south Asian tradition, henna uses a paste made from the powdered leaves of the Henna plant, Lawsonia Inermis.

Willamette Valley Photo Arts Guild

  • Explore the amazing camera obscura and meet photographers who view the world from behind the lens.

Willamette Valley Ceramics Guild

  • Try your hand at working with clay and sitting at a potter's wheel. Guild members will be on hand, and you can view and purchase their art.

Writers on the River

  • Meet members of this local literary arts group and purchase books by local authors and poets.

A place to learn about invention and creativity

Dynamic Aqua Art

  • Mathmematics, science, engineering, and computer technologies combine to create this unique display. Three clear vertical acrylic tubes are lighted by LED strips, vortex flow is introduced at the top of each tube using gravitational forces and carefully designed vortex generators. Mesmerizing!

International Plastic Modelers Society Albany Chapter

  • Enjoy demonstrations and instruction on scale model building.

Thundervolts and Benton County Radio Control Club

  • Check out radio controlled airplanes and flight simulators, hosted by local club members.

Additional Arts Opportunities

In addition to our Lower Campus exhibits, be sure to walk east on Madison Avenue to enjoy the exhibit at The Arts Center, located at 700 SW Madison Ave.

The Arts Center is dedicated to integrating the arts into community life through dynamic collaborations, innovative outreach programs, diverse exhibitions and cultural events, and creative educational opportunities.

The July exhibit will be Artist @ Work, where the gallery will be used as the studio of four artists. Artists include: Gale Everett, multi media, paper; Elaine Green, charcoal figure drawings; Julia Long, works on memory transfer and egg tempera; and Kendall Hathaway, mosaic work.
