GKC River Race

The water slogging begins!

Crystal Lake Sports Park to 1st and Tyler

Sunday: 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Racers enter the river at the Willamette Boat Landing between 12:00 -1:30 pm and exit at 1st & Tyler between 1 - 2:30 pm. Times are fluid.

  • Sculptures must be propelled (unassisted) into, through, and out of the river by the pilots (on board throughout the process) in order to avoid a one-hour penalty.  Upon exit from the river, all wheels must clear the water to qualify.
  • If a team drifts past the river exit point and cannot return under their own power, they will be towed back to the exit point.
  • The race course closes at 3:00 pm Sunday
