Escaping to Montreal, Canada, from Nazi occupied France, a Jewish family hopes to build a new life. In Paris, the father had been a successful businessman, and he is confident he can soon match his success in Montreal; it is an opinion shared by his son, who believes him to be a superhero. But following his father to work one day, the son witnesses something that will alter his vision of his father forever.
