After a lifetime of luck and success, Baggio (Jean Reno) finds he has only one goal left unfulfilled-to become a great philosopher. To achieve the goal, he decides to give away all his material possessions, and then give away his free will to a stranger in the belief that only when he is no longer responsible for his choices can his mind truly be free. Unfortunately, Leo - the stranger Baggio chooses to be his master - Lives a dull and rather ordinary life, and Baggio, growing bored and restless, must give up more than his free will to finally achieve the goal he seeks.
