Expertly bouncing deadpan humor against a descent into chaos, TWO MEN, TWO COWS, TWO GUNS all combine for this shaggy dog foray into the cinema of the absurd. A family, trying to present a picture of calm and normalcy for a visiting social worker, find the illusion increasingly difficult to sustain when a blood-soaked stranger shows up brandishing a rifle, with which, the man believes, he may have just shot a cow… and that's all before things start taking a turn for the weird.
