In New York's Lower East Side, the neighborhood is constantly
changing, but some things remain timeless and classic, and a good
crunchy pickle is always in style. THE PICKLE GUYS tells the story
of one of the last independent pickle shops in America. Owner Allen
Kaufman runs his pickle empire with an almost fanatical zeal for
the old ways and old days, right down to original barrels and
recipes.
Shows in the Young Filmmaker block on Saturday at the
Majestic Theatre at 2:30 pm and Sunday at the Darkside Cinema at
3:15 pm.
